Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our team for lead abatement projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes in environments requiring lead hazard removal. Your expertise will help create safe, clean, and visually appealing spaces while adhering to strict safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to renovation and restoration efforts with a focus on safety and precision. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and safety compliance during lead abatement projects Apply paint, coatings, primers, and sealants using brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless and conventional sprayers), and other hand tools with precision and efficiency Use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment safely to reach high or difficult areas during painting tasks Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and surface preparation instructions to execute project specifications accurately Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work as needed for comprehensive renovation projects Follow all safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocol guidelines to maintain a safe work environment Assist with construction estimating related to painting scope and materials for project planning purposes Skills Extensive experience with residential and commercial construction painting techniques Strong knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic results Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and spray equipment for various coating applications Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction documents accurately Familiarity with surface preparation methods specific to lead abatement environments and renovation projects Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection and hazard mitigation Skilled in interpreting technical schematics and schematics related to industrial or structural painting projects Experience with restoration work involving plastering, caulking, fixture installation, framing carpentry, masonry, welding, concrete finishing, remodeling, maintenance tasks—plus handyman skills for versatile project support Basic math skills for estimating quantities and measurements on-site Ability to operate scaffolding safely while maintaining balance on ladders or elevated platforms Join us if you're passionate about delivering top-tier painting solutions in challenging environments!
