• Job Title: Industrial Painter - 1st Shift

• This role is a hands-on industrial painting position in a manufacturing facility in Delaware, Ohio. The painter prepares, finishes, and inspects products using HVLP spray equipment and related tools, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet production and safety standards on a busy first-shift schedule with regular overtime.
• Responsibilities
• + Prepare all parts and products for painting, including sanding, taping, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.

+ Operate HVLP spray guns, paint booths, and related industrial painting equipment to apply paints and coatings according to job specifications.

+ Mix and match paints and colors to meet job requirements, following formulas and technical guidelines to achieve accurate and consistent finishes.

+ Collaborate with the purchasing department to order paints and related materials, ensuring adequate inventory to support production needs.

+ Successfully pass and maintain eligibility for a respirator fit test and use required respiratory protection while painting.

+ Build and assemble products or components when requested to support overall production and project timelines.

+ Interpret and follow technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions to complete work accurately.

+ Inspect painted parts and finished products, identify defective items, and handle them according to established procedures and quality standards.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and labeling of paints, chemicals, and tools.

+ Follow all company and industry safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.

+ Perform sanding, blasting, and other surface preparation tasks as needed to achieve desired finishes.

+ Support production operations as needed, including general labor tasks related to painting and finishing.

+ Meet production goals and timelines while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.

+ Perform other duties as assigned to support the manufacturing and finishing processes.

• Essential Skills
• + At least 1 year of experience as an automotive or industrial painter.

+ At least 1 year of experience using a paint booth and HVLP spray gun.

+ Previous experience as a painter in a manufacturing facility.

+ Ability to operate and maintain HVLP spray guns, paint booths, drills, sanding equipment, and related tools.

+ Ability to mix and match paints and colors accurately based on job requirements.

+ Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions.

+ Capability to pass a respirator fit test and work safely while wearing required respiratory protection.

+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure and working with precise measurements.

+ Experience with sanding, blasting, and general paint preparation processes.

+ Understanding of production environments and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality when inspecting and finishing painted products.

+ Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience in the sign industry as a painter.

+ Familiarity with powder coating processes.

+ Auto body painting or refinishing experience.

+ General labor experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

+ Mechanical aptitude and comfort using a variety of hand and power tools.

+ Ability to work effectively in a loud, fast-paced, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

+ Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as part of the regular schedule.

+ Desire to learn new skills across the facility and grow into broader production or leadership responsibilities.

• Work Environment
• The role is based in a standard manufacturing facility in Delaware, Ohio.

The environment is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures can vary with the seasons. The facility can be loud, and some tasks require the use of earplugs and other personal protective equipment. Work is performed in and around paint booths and production areas using HVLP spray guns, sanding equipment, drills, blasting tools, and other industrial tools. The normal first-shift schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the operation currently running an overtime schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays. The position involves standing for extended periods, working around active production lines, and adhering to safety and cleanliness standards typical of an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $19.

00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
