Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paint Supervisor to lead our industrial painting and coating operations. In this role, you will oversee the daily activities of the painting team, ensuring that all projects meet strict quality standards, safety protocols, and production deadlines. Your expertise will drive efficiency, maintain high-quality finishes, and uphold safety compliance across all painting processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing excellence while fostering a safety-first environment. Duties Supervise and coordinate the work of painters and coating technicians, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety guidelines. Oversee surface preparation activities such as construction painting surface preparation and fabrication to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Manage the application of various coatings including powder coating, industrial painting, auto painting, and conventional spraying techniques using spray guns and airless paint spraying equipment. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, respiratory protection gear, and other safety protocols during all painting operations. Interpret production documents, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately execute coating processes. Conduct quality inspections using visual color comparison tools and precision measuring instruments to verify finish standards meet client expectations. Handle materials safely within warehouse environments, including materials handling with cranes, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment. Promote lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste across the production line. Train team members on proper use of coating and spray equipment, maintenance routines for paint guns, and safety procedures related to industrial painting. Experience Proven experience supervising industrial or manufacturing painting operations with a strong understanding of coating application techniques such as powder coating, auto painting, and airless spray systems. Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation and finishing processes in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Knowledge of safety protocols related to PPE use, respirator fitting, respiratory protection measures, and handling hazardous materials. Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating cranes, fabrication tools, hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Prior experience in lean manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Strong background in materials handling within warehouse or industrial settings is preferred.
