We have an immediate opening for a full time Painter. The successful candidate must be reliable; pay attention to detail; able to work in a team-oriented setting; mechanically inclined; able to focus on producing a high quality product while meeting estimated labor hours and material usage. Duties include, but not limited to:

• Prime and paint surfaces of manufactured products with various types of paint product using HVLP spray gun, pressure pot, texture gun, roller, or brush
• Prepare fabricated, aluminum products for paint by degreasing, sanding, and filling cavities, joints, cracks, and dents with putty, Bondo, or primer to attain a smooth surface
• Apply masking, tape or stencils to product for multi-color designs
• Select pre-mixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment, thinners, and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specific colors
• Assist in requesting materials and paint for department needs Efficiently control inventory levels per department workload Exercise creativity and problem-solving skills Consistently focus on Production Schedule in order to meet completion dates Communicate with supervisor on project progress and department needs Accurately track labor hours and materials for specific projects Maintain a clean and organized work environment by routinely changing exhaust filters, stocking inventory, and cleaning spray equipment, paint booth, and light fixtures Use work order packet information to ensure accuracy in all completed products Qualifications • Must have 3-5 years automobile/industrial painter experience • Must be familiar with single stage paint systems as well as clear coat applications Must be able to accurately use all types of measuring tools Must be able to work in a safe manner while working around various power tools Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Working Environment A clean, well-maintained manufacturing / production shop Low temperatures in Winter as well as high temperatures in Summer Standing up to 8 hours a day Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis Benefits • Medical and Dental Insurance • Aflac • Immediately eligible for paid PTO and holiday pay • 401(k) with employer match ES&A Sign and Awning is an equal opportunity employer.
