The Commercial Vehicle Painter position is a full-time role and will work on-site in Ephrata, PA, Monday-Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
Primary Responsibilities:
The Commercial Vehicle Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing tractors, trailers, truck bodies, and related parts. This position performs a variety of preparation, painting, masking, disassembly, and reassembly tasks to ensure vehicles and components are properly finished and meet quality standards. Essential functions of the role include: Responsible for the preparation, disassembly, masking, painting, and reassembly of tractors, trailers, truck bodies, and related parts Operate paint machines, spray equipment, and other tools to apply paint and coatings in accordance with quality standards Ensure painted surfaces meet established standards for appearance, coverage, and overall finish quality Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and ensure proper care and use of equipment, tools, and materials Provide support to trailer technicians and other shop personnel as needed to complete assigned work. This could include completing repairs, installing parts, and fabrication. Identify and report damage or maintenance needed on any company equipment or tools All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience painting commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, or automotive equipment (2+ years) Knowledge of painting, paint types, surface preparation, masking, and finishing techniques Ability to perform general equipment maintenance and repairs Ability to work safely and efficiently, and use personal protective equipment appropriately Must supply own tools Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail. Ability to manage competing priorities and efficiently schedule work Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others
High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with and knowledge of the transportation industry, including heavy-duty truck systems, commercial vehicle maintenance, and diesel repair terminology Ability to troubleshoot and read schematics and other technical documents Forklift certification CDL A and PA Class 7
Inspection License Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
