Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Spray Painter / Paint Technician to prepare, mix, and apply coatings to acrylic panels, metal parts, and composite assemblies. The ideal candidate has hands-on spray painting experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Clean, degrease, sand, and mask parts according to blueprints and work instructions. Mix and thin paints, primers, catalysts, and coatings according to specified ratios. Operate siphon-feed, pressure-cup, and gravity-feed spray guns . Apply primers, topcoats, and clear coats while maintaining consistent finish and coating thickness. Inspect finished parts for defects and perform touch-ups or rework as needed. Use calipers, micrometers, and wet/dry film thickness gages for inspections. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop travelers. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Clean and maintain spray guns, booths, and related equipment. Follow ISO 9001, AS9100, QMS, EHS, and PPE requirements . Maintain a clean and safe work area and report quality or safety concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous industrial, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or similar spray painting experience preferred. Knowledge of spray gun operation and proper surface preparation. Experience mixing paints and coatings according to specified ratios. Ability to use basic precision measuring equipment. Ability to read blueprints and shop travelers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow PPE, EHS, and chemical-handling requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and bend, reach, and handle materials. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted . Ability to work around paints, solvents, chemicals, and spray equipment while wearing required PPE.
