In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring flawless finishes that enhance the beauty and durability of various structures. Your expertise in color theory, surface preparation, and a variety of painting techniques will be essential to delivering high-quality results. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of paint or coatings. Execute painting tasks using hand tools, brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), and conventional spray equipment to achieve smooth, even finishes. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately match colors, textures, and finishes according to project requirements. Apply coatings on diverse surfaces such as stucco, drywall, metal, wood, and concrete with precision and attention to detail. Conduct surface inspections for quality control, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards throughout each phase of the project. Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures or performing minor handyman tasks related to painting or surface finishing. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools such as power tools and hand tools while adhering to safety protocols including respiratory protection measures. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings for accurate project planning. Strong knowledge of color theory for effective color matching and visual color comparison. Experience with residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and structural surface preparation. Skilled in using ladders safely for elevated work; familiar with scaffold setup if necessary. Expertise in various painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, construction spray painting (including airless paint spraying), and coating application. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction site work; committed to following safety protocol adherence at all times. Ability to operate power tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards; experience with plastering and stucco application is a plus. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities; experience with fixture installation or remodeling is advantageous. Hands-on experience with construction site activities such as surface preparation for renovation projects or maintenance tasks; handyman experience is beneficial.
