Job Description
Job Title:
Industrial Painter / Powder Coater You will work primarily on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with initial training on 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Essential Skills At least 3 years of industrial coating experience using HVLP spray painting or powder coating in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Hands-on experience with powder coating processes, including part preparation, racking, and booth operation. Experience with wet paint application using HVLP or similar industrial spray equipment. Strong paint preparation skills, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation for coating. Ability to set up and adjust machinery for paint and powder coat processes according to job specifications. Experience painting parts in booths and on racks rather than solely on automated paint lines. Knowledge of industrial painting and coating techniques, such as CARC and other specialized coatings, as applicable. Familiarity with sandblasting or blasting processes used in surface preparation for coatings. Ability to read and follow job orders, work instructions, and safety procedures accurately. Strong awareness of safety practices in a manufacturing environment, especially around tanks, liquids, and coating materials. Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.) after completing day-shift training. Additional Skills & Qualifications Combination of both powder coating and wet paint experience is highly preferred. Experience working in a metal plating or metal finishing facility. Experience using HVLP spray systems, industrial sprayers, and related coating equipment. Experience with sandblasting, blasting, or similar surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with CARC or other specialized industrial coatings. Comfort working with racked parts and manual booth painting, rather than fully automated paint lines. Ability to adapt to changing production needs and support various coating projects across different locations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes on metal components. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
