In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to asphalt using spray wands and other finishing methods. Your expertise will ensure that products meet strict quality standards, are finished with precision, and are ready for assembly or shipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for coating by performing surface preparation tasks such as sanding, cleaning, and surface painting preparation to ensure optimal adhesion. Operate spray guns, airless paint sprayers, with precision to apply coatings evenly across different parts. Interpret production documents, blueprints, and work orders to understand coating specifications and quality requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment as needed for assembly or finishing tasks related to coating applications. Adhere strictly to safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection gear, during all coating processes. Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished products against quality standards to identify any defects or inconsistencies. Handle materials carefully using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques to ensure safety and efficiency in the production environment. Experience Prior experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or auto body repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including the use of conventional spraying equipment and finishing techniques. Knowledge of safety protocols related to PPE use, respiratory protection, and handling hazardous materials. Ability to interpret production documents and technical specifications accurately. Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements using precision measuring instruments and assembly tasks. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
