In this role, you will be responsible for preparing metal components through sandblasting and surface preparation techniques to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality finishes on a variety of products, supporting our commitment to excellence in industrial and construction painting projects. Responsibilities Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces, ensuring removal of rust, paint, and debris. Includes use of outdoor blast pots, and sandblasting cabinets. Set up and maintain powder coating prep stations, including masking, plugging, and surface inspection prior to coating. Handle materials safely using forklifts, or other warehouse equipment to move components efficiently within the facility. Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks as needed to support production workflows. Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE gear. Pressure washing and degreasing parts. Use of chemical strippers Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to promote a safe and efficient work environment. Requirements Prior experience with sandblasting, powder coating prep, or related manufacturing processes is preferred but not necessary. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and working with various metals. Ability to drive a trailer is a plus, but not a requirement. Knowledge of materials handling procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Ability to lift 50lbs Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
