Duties Help This position is loced in the Joint Forces Headquarters-Ste, Logistics Directore (G-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The primary purpose of this position is to prepare and apply coing merials such as paints, varnishes, and rust proofing compounds on stionary and mobile equipment and on comb, tactical, and commercial vehicles. Work involved in applying coing merials (for example, paint, varnish, lacquer, shellac, epoxy, epoxy resin, and Teflon) on wood, glass, synthetic, concrete, and other surfaces. Work is done with brushes, rollers, spray guns and other reled methods and techniques and is performed on the insides and outsides of buildings, aircraft, vessels, mobile equipment, fittings, furnishings, machinery, and other surfaces. This is a Title 32 Technician Vacancy th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the closing de of the job vacancy. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: Experience or training which demonstres the candide's knowledge of surface preparion (removal of rust, dirt, paint, etc); coing methods (brushing, rolling, and spraying); and coing merials (paints, varnishes, shellacs, etc). Must have the ability to use tools and equipment associed with the painting trade and to read and interpret directions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: Experience or training which demonstres the candide's knowledge of any surface preparion and coing methods and techniques. Skill in building up, shaping, and leveling surfaces with metal and synthetic resins, plastics, and pching compounds; obtain finely smoothed surfaces with abrasive compounds, pumice, and rottenstone; even out dents and scars by burning-in processes; and tre surfaces with pre-coing agents.
