Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for quality painters that want to be part of a successful and growing team. Our team has been working in and around the upstate area for years and we are expanding. Looking for well rounded individuals that can work well with others and that are professonals at the commercial painting industry. Duties Prepare surfaces through proper cleaning, sanding, and surface treatment to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Operate spray guns, including airless paint sprayers and conventional spray equipment, to apply coatings evenly and efficiently. Interpret production documents such as work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accurate application of finishes. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and safety gear, consistently adhering to safety protocols during all tasks. Handle materials safely, including powders and liquids, while maintaining proper materials handling procedures in accordance with safety standards. Perform quality inspections using visual color comparison and other measurement tools to verify coating consistency and finish quality. Maintain equipment such as coating spray guns, power tools, and machining tools in good working order through routine cleaning and maintenance. Skills Proficiency with industrial painting techniques including powder coating, construction painting surface preparation, and auto body repair finishing. Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, machining processes, and surface preparation equipment. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely. Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, and handling hazardous materials responsibly. Experience with coating application methods such as airless paint spraying, conventional spraying, and finishing techniques. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating thicknesses, and material quantities. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials handling procedures, auto painting practices, and assembly operations.
