Posted 06/2026 Job Description Job Summary Perform exterior aircraft painting and finishing operations on aircraft sections in support of production programs. Prepare surfaces and apply primers, paints, and finishes according to engineering requirements.             • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
            • A minimum of 1 year of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, or general industrial painting.
            • A minimum of 3 years of relevant paint experience.
            • Experience performing multi-stage paint processes, including base coat and clear coat applications.
            • Experience working at heights and using fall protection equipment.
            • Ability to obtain and maintain Fall Protection Certification in accordance with OSHA regulations.
            • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
            • Knowledge of adhesive materials and processes, including epoxy, urethane, polyimide, and reinforcements.
            • Knowledge of color analysis, paint formulation, and color matching techniques.
            • Knowledge of shop processes, including FOD prevention, material handling, safety, calibration, and ESD requirements.
            • Knowledge of materials and processing for metals, polymers, composites, sealants, and finishes.
            • Knowledge of organic chemical processing, including surface cleaning, priming, and top-coating.
            • Knowledge of polymers and composite materials, including carbon fiber, fiberglass, aramid, adhesives, and resins.
            • Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal work instructions.
            • Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with procedures.
            • Ability to obtain and maintain required training certifications to support assignment responsibilities.
            • Ability to support all shifts as assigned based on business needs.
            • Successful completion of required classroom and on-the-job training as a contingency of assignment. Preferred Skills
            • A minimum of 3 years of aerospace aircraft paint experience.
            • Experience painting large-scale components using compressed air spray systems.
            • Previous experience supporting commercial aircraft production programs. Job Duties & Functions
            • Perform exterior painting of aircraft sections in accordance with customer design and livery requirements.
            • Verify aircraft sections are ready for exterior finish prior to paint application.
            • Prepare aircraft exterior surfaces for painting, including cleaning, masking, sanding, and surface treatment.
            • Make patterns, perform layout work, and apply prescribed primers, paints, and finishes.
            • Apply aircraft finishes and external spanings to aircraft sections.
            • Work from engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
            • Operate in compliance with safety, quality, and process requirements while working at heights.
            • Attend and successfully complete all required training and certification courses.
            • Support onsite production operations as required. Physical Requirements & Environment
            • Ability to lift less than 25 pounds with occasional lifting of 21 to 35 pounds.
            • Ability to bend, twist, crawl, crouch, kneel, squat, and climb as required.
            • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on flat or uneven surfaces.
            • Ability to reach overhead frequently for extended durations.
            • Ability to balance on ladders, steps, elevated platforms, and uneven surfaces.
            • Ability to climb ladders or stand up to 12 feet in height.
            • Ability to perform rotation of head and neck, sitting, lying down, and operation of foot controls.
            • Ability to perform occasional finger manipulation for extended periods.
            • Ability to work in environments with exposure to noise.
            • Ability to work with sealants, solvents, plastics, and metals.
