Job Description

Job description: Operates a spray painter or other paint equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals and products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Follows all required safety procedures. May paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Reports to plant supervisor. Experience is a plus but willing to train the right person.
Summary Industrial Paint Operator summary:
You will operate and supervise conventional spraying processes, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to production standards. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will interpret manufacturing documentation, set up equipment, mix coatings, and perform finishing tasks with precision. Your responsibilities include maintaining PPE compliance, monitoring quality standards, and coordinating with material handling and finishing teams to meet production timelines. Leverage mechanical knowledge, basic math, and lean practices to optimize throughput and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to use common shop tools and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move equipment and materials as needed. Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
