Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter/Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. This role involves applying protective and decorative coatings to various metal and fabricated components using advanced painting techniques, including powder coating and airless paint spraying. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting, materials handling, and fabrication processes, contributing to the production of high-quality finished products. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in manufacturing, machining, or construction painting to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary Operate powder coating equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other power tools with precision Handle materials efficiently using forklifts, cranes, or other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety protocols Apply coatings accurately using spray guns, brushes, or rollers to meet quality standards Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment and ensure proper calibration of precision measuring instruments Assist in assembly or fabrication processes as needed to support production goals Follow safety guidelines related to industrial painting, materials handling, and equipment operation Maintain a clean work environment and document work activities according to company procedures Qualifications Proven experience in industrial painting, auto body repair, or auto painting preferred Knowledge of powder coating processes and airless paint spraying techniques required Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining is highly desirable Experience operating forklifts and cranes for materials handling within a manufacturing or warehouse setting Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, and use of precision measuring instruments Ability to work with basic math skills for measurements and calculations during coating applications Strong understanding safety standards in an industrial environment Prior experience with construction or manufacturing painting projects is a plus Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting This position provides an engaging opportunity for skilled individuals eager to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes while expanding their expertise in industrial coating techniques.
