Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Sandblaster to join a Columbia based manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces through abrasive blasting techniques to ensure optimal finish quality on industrial components and structures. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with hand tools and power tools, and a passion for maintaining high standards in industrial finishing processes. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in Sandblasting using steel grit. Starting pay rate for Experienced Sandblaster is $26.00 with great benefits after 90 days. This is a full time, temp to permanent job position with a steadfast employer.

Current work hours:

Monday-Thursday 6:00a.m.-4:30p.m. Must be available to work O/T as needed. TN Drug Free Workplace. Pre-employment drug screening required. Responsibilities Operate sandblasting equipment such as a Graco Sandblaster to clean and prepare surfaces of steel for painting applications Set up and adjust abrasive blasting machinery according to project specifications and safety guidelines Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure proper surface preparation and finish quality Handle materials safely using forklifts, cranes, or other warehouse equipment as needed for loading, unloading, and positioning components Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance Assist with surface preparation tasks such as auto body repair, auto painting, or industrial painting projects Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and minimize waste Must have the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs working in an 18X18X70 blast booth using steel grit. Must be able to tolerate outdoor weather elements. Experience Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments involving surface preparation or finishing processes Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and auto body repair techniques is highly desirable Familiarity with materials handling equipment including forklifts and cranes Experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying, and welding is preferred Ability to read basic math measurements accurately for precise surface finishing tasks Warehouse experience with an understanding of safety protocols related to industrial painting and sandblasting operations Strong mechanical aptitude combined with knowledge of precision measuring instruments and assembly processes
