In this role, you will be responsible for transforming surfaces through expert application of paint, coatings, and finishes across a variety of projects. Your expertise in surface preparation, color matching, and application techniques will ensure high-quality results that meet client expectations and safety standards. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and other hand tools. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to execute precise painting projects. Perform structural painting tasks on walls, ceilings, fixtures, masonry surfaces, stucco, and other building components. Conduct surface testing with visual color comparison tools to match shades accurately for renovation or restoration projects. Maintain safety regulations by using respiratory protection equipment and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work. Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures, performing minor carpentry or masonry work, and supporting maintenance tasks as needed. Experience Proven experience in construction site painting or related fields such as renovation or restoration work. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints. Hands-on knowledge of surface preparation techniques including power tools like sanders and grinders. Skilled in various painting methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (airless and conventional), and coating application. Understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting environments including proper use of respiratory protection. Experience working with different materials such as plaster, stucco, masonry surfaces, and fixtures installation is preferred.
