Analyze and prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning and sanding. Verify the functionality of required equipment prior to its use. Calculate the amount of raw materials for paint. Identify, prepare, and apply the paint on surfaces. Perform internal and external cleaning, including blowing or sanding between layers. Clean the dirt inside the sections. Burnish and retouch painted surfaces. Dry painted surfaces and repair equipment. Perform transport of metallic structures using a bridge crane or forklift. Inform the superior about anomalies, damages, accidents, or absenteeism. Optimize the means and tools placed at their disposal. Avoid unnecessary downtime in the process to ensure productivity and daily targets are achieved. Fill in all inspection and production forms as required. Attend training programs when called. Perform other tasks consistent with the requirements of the function or as requested by the supervisor. Respect safety standards and use PPE. Execute clock-in and barcode reading in the SAP stations at the beginning and end of each task in production. Carry out activities related to 5S in the area or as requested by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
None.
Experience:
Two (2) years in the position above, as a Production Foreman or in a related manufacturing or painting area role; Experience must include: 1. Arranging, cleaning and maintaining painting production equipment. 2. Mixing, matching, and applying paint to various heavy steel surfaces, completing touchups, and coordinating large painting projects. 3. Monitoring the painting operators' performance during production.
