Painting Operator Gri Towers Of Texas Inc Amarillo, TX Job Details $23.50 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Computer operation Spanish Computer literacy SAP Safety standards in production 5S English Forklift Inspection reporting and documentation Industrial painting High school diploma or GED Assembly Overhead cranes IT Manufacturing Clean workspace maintenance Sanding 2 years Manufacturing company experience Technical Proficiency Entry level Full Job Description General Description/ Objective Responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touchups, and coordinating large painting projects. Roles and Tasks Analyze and prepare (cleaning, sanding down, etc.) surfaces to be painted. Verify the functionality of required equipment prior to its use. Calculate the amount of raw materials for paint. Identify, prepare and apply the paint in surfaces. Internal and external cleaning (blowing or sanding) between layers. Clean the dirt inside the sections. Burnishing and retouch surfaces painted. Dry surfaces painted and repair equipment. Perform transport of metallic structures using bridge-crane or forklift. Inform your superior about anomalies, damages, accidents, absenteeism, etc. Optimize the means and tools placed at their disposal. Avoid unnecessary downtime in the process; ensuring productivity and daily targets are achieved. Filling in all inspection and production forms as required. Attend training program when called. Perform other tasks consistent with the requirements for the exercise of the function. Perform other tasks per supervisors request. Respect Safety Standards and use of PPE. Clock-in and clock-out (mark attendance with the punch card) at the beginning and at the end of the shift. Execute clock-in and barcode reading in the SAP stations at the beginning and at the end of each task in production. Carry out activities related to 5S in the area. These roles and tasks are only enunciative but not limitative. Additional work-related tasks and responsibilities can be assigned to this position as per job content requirement and/or Supervisors request. Profile/ Professional Competencies/ Job Requirements Education Requirements High School or equivalent (GED), or Elementary education plus minimum experience required. Specific Knowledge Painting operations with pressure nozzle. Surface preparation. Painting Specifications. Ability to read DFT gauge and interpret drawings. Languages Able to communicate and/or to read and understand instructions in English IT/ Technical Knowledge Basic computer knowledge Minimum Experience Required Six months on manufacturing, assembly or industrial process. Internal Candidates and/or Employees from other GRI factories, are considered competent for this job if they have at least 2 years of experience on similar processes. Preferable Requirements SAP Bilingual (English-Spanish) Interpersonal Relationships, focused attention, flexibility, initiative, organization and commitment.
