The Painter is responsible for preparing and applying paint to vehicles as well as providing cosmetic repairs. Qualities for success include an eye for detail, great teamwork, and knowledge of painting large vehicles - specifically diesel trucks. Primary Duties:

Mix paint and match paint to color specification Mask or tape off details and components to avoid contamination Use of painting equipment such as sprayers Perform check of paint jobs to check for runs or sags in the paint to ensure a quality product High School Diploma is required; Technical degree in Auto Body/Collision Repair is preferred Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and clean driving record Previous experience in the heavy duty truck collision industry Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions Ability and background in using industrial painting equipment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be reliable and able to multi-task Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs on a regular basis Ability to use ladder 12 + feet and/or scaffolding Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8-12 hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements
