Overview Join a dynamic automotive team as an Auto Painter Helper/Buffer and play a vital role in delivering high-quality vehicle refinishing and restoration services. This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop hands-on skills in auto body preparation, painting, buffing, and surface finishing. You'll work alongside experienced technicians to ensure vehicles are restored to pristine condition, contributing to our reputation for excellence. Duties Assist lead auto painters with surface preparation, including masking, sanding, and cleaning vehicle surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Support the application of paints, coatings, and spray finishes using conventional spray guns and airless paint sprayers, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Operate buffing machines and grinders to smooth out painted surfaces, remove imperfections, and achieve a flawless finish. Maintain a clean and organized work area by properly storing painting supplies such as paints and primers. Assist with auto restoration projects by preparing vehicles for painting, including masking, and surface preparation. Follow safety procedures diligently by wearing respiratory protection equipment when working with paints or chemicals and ensuring proper ventilation during spraying processes. Experience Previous experience working in an automotive dealership or body shop environment is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with sanders and automotive buffing equipment. Knowledge of automotive surface preparation, auto painting techniques—including spray guns—and auto body refinishing processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in physically demanding situations is essential. Compensation Depends on experience
