In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces through sandblasting and applying high-quality paint coatings to a variety of structures, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that surfaces are properly cleaned, primed, and painted to meet safety standards and aesthetic requirements. Responsibilities Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces such as metal, concrete, and masonry for painting or coating applications Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying) to achieve smooth, durable finishes Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall installation, and surface priming in accordance with construction painting standards Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to determine appropriate preparation and coating procedures Use hand tools and power tools safely to facilitate surface repairs, fixture installation, or minor carpentry work as needed during renovation projects Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocol guidelines on construction sites Conduct visual color comparisons to ensure color consistency across different surfaces and projects Assist with structural painting tasks on large-scale industrial or commercial projects requiring specialized coatings or coating techniques Requirements Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on surface preparation and painting techniques Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects is a plus Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications accurately Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and spray equipment effectively Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation including drywall finishing, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, and fixture installation Experience with industrial painting applications such as coating application on large structures or machinery Strong understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection use and safety protocol adherence on active construction sites Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material quantities accurately Ability to work at heights using ladders safely while maintaining focus on safety standards Excellent attention to detail for color matching and finish quality in residential or commercial settings Good communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating with team members Join us in delivering top-tier surface preparation and painting solutions that transform spaces!
