Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Operate various painting equipment including spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and powder coating systems to apply finishes efficiently. Interpret production documents such as work orders, technical drawings, and quality standards to execute tasks accurately. Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and adhere strictly to safety protocols including PPE use such as respirators and protective clothing. Perform construction painting surface preparation on different materials, ensuring surfaces are ready for coating application. Conduct quality inspections through visual color comparison and use precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and finish quality. Maintain equipment by cleaning spray guns, power tools, and machinery regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Skills Proven experience with industrial painting techniques including conventional spraying, powder coating, and airless paint spraying. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, auto body repair, and the operation of hand tools and power tools. Ability to interpret production documents accurately while adhering to quality standards in production environments. Strong understanding of construction painting surface preparation and coating application processes. Familiarity with the use of precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Knowledge of respiratory protection equipment such as respirators and adherence to safety protocol requirements for PPE use.
