Job Description
Experienced Paint & Body Technician Job Summary 1-Way Diesel Performance is seeking an experienced Paint & Body Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in automotive body repair, paint preparation, refinishing, and related work. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can produce clean, quality work. Experience with cars, trucks, commercial vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, restoration, collision repair, or custom paint/body work is welcomed. Responsibilities Perform automotive body repairs, including dent and panel repair Prepare vehicles and parts for painting by sanding, grinding, filling, masking, and priming Apply automotive paint and finishes Perform paint correction and refinishing as needed Remove and reinstall body panels, bumpers, trim, and related components Repair or replace damaged body components Inspect completed work for proper fit, finish, and overall quality Assist with custom paint and body projects Communicate needed parts, materials, and job progress with the shop Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized Follow proper shop and safety procedures Qualifications Previous professional paint and/or auto-body experience preferred Experience with automotive painting, prepping, sanding, priming, and refinishing Knowledge of body repair techniques and equipment Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, sanders, grinders, and paint/body equipment Welding, fabrication, collision repair, or restoration experience is a plus, but not required Strong attention to detail Dependable and punctual Able to work independently and as part of a team Own tools are a plus Valid driver's license preferred Pay & Schedule Pay is based on experience, knowledge, and skill level. Applicants with extensive paint and body experience may qualify for higher starting pay.
