Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Frame Tech / Body Tech / Buffer / Paint Prepor to join our dynamic collision repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly repairing vehicle frames, performing bodywork, preparing surfaces for painting, and ensuring vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with various tools will drive your success in restoring vehicles to their optimal condition. Duties Perform precise frame repairs using specialized equipment, ensuring structural integrity and alignment according to manufacturer specifications Conduct auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and aluminum or metal fabrication as needed Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer with attention to detail Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out repairs and refinishing tasks Assist with auto glass replacement, detailing, and minor mechanical repairs when necessary Apply automotive paint and refinishing techniques using industry-standard paints and techniques while adhering to safety regulations and PPE protocols Conduct defect resolution root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting vehicle repairs or paint quality Requirements Dealership or collision repair shop experience preferred; familiarity with auto body repair is essential Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, auto painting, and collision repair processes Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment such as frame racks and metal fabrication tools Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and estimating repair times using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software Understanding of safety regulations and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Experience working with aluminum, metal fabrication, automotive paints, auto body refinishing, and detailing techniques Excellent client communication skills to explain repair processes clearly and professionally Familiarity with auto glass replacement procedures and automotive repair standards Technical proficiency in using diagnostic tools or software related to collision repair or vehicle damage assessment is a plus Mechanic experience or background in automotive repair strongly valued Join our team if you're passionate about automotive craftsmanship!
