Cyrious Metal Works is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Powder Coater and Sandblaster to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces, performing heavy sandblasting, applying high-quality powder coatings, and ensuring premium, durable finishes on fabricated metal products. Core Responsibilities Surface Preparation:

Prepare raw metal parts for coating by degreasing, heavy sandblasting, detailed masking, and hanging parts safely on racks.

Coating Application:

Apply uniform powder coatings using professional electrostatic spray equipment.

Oven & Curing Management:

Monitor oven temperatures and tightly track curing cycles according to project specs.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished products to ensure consistent coverage, correct thickness, and flawless finishes.

Equipment Care:

Maintain powder coating equipment, spray guns, and sandblasting booths to minimize downtime.

Logistics & Safety:

Track parts moving through the shop, operate a forklift when needed, and maintain a spotless workspace while strictly following shop safety standards.

Team Collaboration:

Work hand-in-hand with our fabrication team to ensure efficient production flow.

Qualifications Experience:

Prior experience in industrial powder coating, auto body painting, or industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of metal surface prep, masking, and chemical cleaning techniques.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for long periods in a shop environment.

Skills:

Ability to read basic work orders, blueprints, or job instructions.

Traits:

High attention to detail, punctual, reliable, and a strong work ethic. Preferred Skills Proven experience with industrial sandblasting. Deep knowledge of powder coating ovens and complex curing processes. Experience working directly in a custom metal fabrication environment. $17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 48.0 per week
