Painter -
Liquid Paint Pay:
$17.00-$21.00/hour
DOE Shift:
Day Shift | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (4-day work week) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Liquid Paint Technician to join a precision manufacturing team in Salt Lake City. This position is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing metal components while maintaining high standards for quality, consistency, and safety. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial liquid painting techniques and takes pride in delivering a flawless finish on every product. Responsibilities Prepare metal components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces as needed. Apply liquid paint coatings using spray guns and other painting equipment while maintaining consistent coverage and finish quality. Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications. Inspect finished products for color consistency, coverage, and overall quality, making touch-ups or corrections when necessary. Maintain spray booths, painting equipment, and work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment. Follow work orders, production schedules, and quality standards to meet customer specifications. Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and handling of paints, solvents, and other materials. Collaborate with production team members to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Qualifications Previous experience with industrial liquid painting, automotive painting, or manufacturing paint applications preferred. Experience operating spray guns and painting equipment. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, paint mixing, and finishing processes. Ability to identify and correct common paint defects such as runs, orange peel, or uneven coverage. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. #INDSLC
