Powder Coating Pay:
$17.00-$21.00/hour
DOE Shift:
Day Shift | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (4-day work week) Job Summary We are seeking a reliable Powder Coating Painter to join a growing manufacturing team in Salt Lake City. This position is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components to meet high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate has experience with powder coating processes, takes pride in producing a consistent, durable finish, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, sanding, and inspecting surfaces. Apply powder coatings evenly and accurately using spray equipment and established procedures. Operate curing ovens and monitor temperatures and cure times to ensure proper finish quality. Inspect completed parts for coverage, color consistency, adhesion, and overall quality. Touch up or rework products as needed to meet production and quality standards. Maintain powder coating equipment and keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Follow work orders, production schedules, and quality specifications. Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE while handling coatings and equipment. Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily manufacturing goals. Qualifications Previous powder coating or industrial painting experience preferred. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and powder coating processes. Ability to identify coating defects and make necessary adjustments for quality results. Experience operating powder coating spray equipment and curing ovens is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. #INDSLC
