In this dynamic role, you will lead the finish department and ensure surface preparation meets construction standards, and apply coatings with precision using various techniques. Your expertise will help transform spaces through expert craftsmanship, adherence to safety protocols, and a keen eye for detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects from start to finish while contributing to beautiful, durable finishes that stand the test of time. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, priming surfaces while having a keen eye for details. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and other hand tools with precision and efficiency. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine scope of work and proper application techniques. Ensure all safety regulations are followed diligently, including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocol guidelines. Conduct color matching and color comparison techniques and apply knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic results. Maintain detailed records of work progress, surface conditions, materials used, and safety inspections throughout each project. Skills Extensive experience in spraying & finishing. Proficiency in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and restoration projects. Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, distressing, ECT. Strong knowledge of coating types including primers, sealers, stains, lacquers, and specialized industrial paints. Ability to operate power tools such as paint sprayers (airless and conventional), hand tools, ECT Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting random issues.
