Braun Northwest, Inc. (BNW) is now hiring for a Journey-Level Automotive Painter position in Chehalis, WA. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week with a start time between 5:00am and 6:00am. This position is overtime eligible. The compensation for this position is $23-$30/hr

Job Summary These positions are responsible for painting the emergency vehicle modules in order to prepare them to move to assembly. Essential Functions Masking, priming, sand primer, painting, caulking, cut and buffing of module bodies and chassis. Must have the ability to sit, stand, and crawl for long periods of time inside, on top, underneath and around modules being painted or being prepared for painting. Must be able to move up to 20lbs of product or equipment in order to ensure that all parts of the module are painted. Must be able to tolerate working around metal dust shavings that result from the sanding of modules. Must be able to work in a team setting, and follow verbal and written instructions.

Job Requirements and Qualifications Education:

Basic Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Position Requirements:

These positions require working in enclosed spaces, and on top of the modules 10 feet off the ground. These positions work around and with paint solvents in a well-ventilated area. Tools are required.

Required Experience:

Experience in autobody work is desired for work involving the prepping of vehicles for painting.

Desired Experience:

Experience in bodywork and automotive painting as well as an eye for detail are desirable. Use of Tools Ability to safely and competently use the following tools and equipment:

• Paint and undercoating equipment
• Buffers/Polishers
• Ladders
• Scaffold
• Various handheld tools to include saws, screwdrivers, etc.
