- Job Summary
- We are seeking experienced Painter/Blasters for a 4-week contract supporting vessel repair and maintenance projects. Candidates should have experience with abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and industrial painting in shipyard, marine, or industrial environments.
- Responsibilities
- + Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation. + Mix and apply industrial coatings and paints. + Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, masking, and needle gunning. + Apply coatings to tanks, engine rooms, machinery spaces, and vessel exteriors. + Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. + Follow all OSHA, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Qualifications
- + Experience with abrasive blasting and industrial painting. + Knowledge of surface preparation and coating application. + Ability to work in a shipyard, marine, or industrial environment. + Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. +
- Shipyard or marine experience preferred.
- + •C7 and/or C14 Blasting Certifications preferred.

- Work Environment
- Work is performed in a shipyard environment aboard vessels and marine structures. Duties include abrasive blasting, painting, and surface preparation in both interior and exterior spaces, including tanks, engine rooms, and hulls. PPE is required, and all work is performed in accordance with OSHA and safety regulations.
