Job Description

Do you have professional painting experience and want to build a career in aerospace? A well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Seattle is hiring Aerospace Painters at multiple experience levels! Whether your background is in aerospace, auto body, industrial, or building painting, this could be a great opportunity to bring your skills into aircraft manufacturing. In this role, you'll prepare and paint aluminum aircraft parts using primers, topcoats, and other coatings. Depending on your experience level, you'll mix and measure paint to specifications, prepare and sand surfaces, apply coatings using spray equipment, inspect finished parts for appearance and coverage, and maintain paint equipment and booth standards. Candidates with aerospace painting experience may qualify for advanced Top Coat Painter opportunities and higher pay.
Aerospace Painter Job Duties :
Mix and measure primers, paints, and coatings according to work instructions, specifications, or Technical Data Sheets Review work orders and confirm the correct paint, coating, and part before painting Clean, prepare, and perform minor sanding on parts before applying paint Apply primers, epoxy, lacquer, resin, topcoats, and other coatings to aluminum aircraft parts according to required coverage and thickness Inspect painted parts for appearance, coverage, and quality; maintain paint equipment, booth filters, paperwork, and a clean FOD-free work area while following all PPE and safety requirements

DOE Aerospace Painter Requirements :
6+ months of recent, relevant painting experience required; aerospace, auto body, industrial, commercial/residential, or building painting experience considered Candidates considered for advanced Top Coat Painter opportunities should have 2+ years of aircraft painting experience and experience with paint guns and professional spray techniques Ability to mix paint and coatings to specifications and follow detailed work instructions, shop paperwork, and Technical Data Sheets Comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and working in a manufacturing paint environment Ability to wear a respirator and all other required PPE while following safety procedures Benefits offered upon full-time hire : Paid holidays Paid time off (PTO) Health insurance 401(k) with company match Opportunities for advancement and long-term growth Benefits offered by Verstela to temporary employees : Medical Dental Vision Short Term Disability Term Life and AD&D Identity Theft Protection Prescription Plan 401(K)
