Job Description
If you have experience with industrial painting and take pride in producing high-quality finishes, we want to hear from you. Cornell Pump Company is looking for an Industrial Painter/Skidder to prepare and spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working areas with protective or decorative materials such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, epoxies, or lacquer onsite at our Vancouver, WA location. This role also includes crating and skidding finished products, requiring hands-on shop skills and attention to detail.
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour (DOE)Location:
Vancouver, WA What You'll Do:
Preparing surfaces to be painted by cleaning grease and dirt from the product Applies masking tape or other means over parts and areas that are not to be coated Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color per work order or instructions Uses various types of equipment to apply coating, including finishing industrial spray painting Assists with crating and skidding finished products for shipment, including proper securing and preparation for transport Uses power tools and basic shop equipment as needed to complete finishing and packaging tasks Must be able to wear a respirator Cleans and maintains equipment using appropriate methods Able to operate forklifts and other lifting devicesWhat We're Looking For:
Previous industrial painting experience is required Experience with crating, packaging, or general shop work preferred Ability to safely use power tools and work with hands-on equipment Strong ability to read and use a tape measure accurately Clear understanding of industrial painting products and procedures Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination Strong commitment to quality Detail-oriented with solid multitasking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work for extended periods with arms above shoulder heightWhat We Offer:
