Job Description

Powder Coater IDescriptionPremier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability, and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.

We need someone who can set up and use powder coating equipment to apply coating to various parts and accessories. You will be responsible for material and parts preparation for the powder coating and/or painting of fabricated steel items through different techniques.

This is a full-time position located in Vancouver, Washington.

Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentThis is a physically demanding role in a manufacturing setting. Employees must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and safely move up to 50 pounds. This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete shop floors.

Employees are required to frequently use hands for manual dexterity and fine manipulation, and frequently reach with hands and arms. The role occasionally requires kneeling, stooping, or crouching. Close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception are required for navigating a shop floor with active mobile equipment. To ensure safety, employees must be able to recognize and respond to auditory warnings, such as forklift horns and shop alarms.

While working in the factory, employees will regularly work near moving mechanical parts, high-heat equipment, and active forklifts. Exposure to fumes, sparks, and moderate to loud noise levels is expected. The use of standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety-toed boots and respirators while powder coating, is strictly required.
