Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Truck Painter / Prep technician to join our team. This role involves preparing trucks for painting, applying high-quality finishes, and ensuring vehicles meet our quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in collision repair, auto painting, and vehicle maintenance, with a strong focus on safety and craftsmanship. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with dealership experience or mechanic backgrounds to advance their skills in auto restoration and finishing. •This position is eligible for a $5000 sign-on bonus •This is a first shift, Monday-Friday position with working hours of 7:00AM-3:30PM. Responsibilities Prepare truck surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed Apply primer, paint, and clear coats using airless paint spraying equipment and other power tools Perform buffing, detailing, and touch-up work to ensure a flawless finish Conduct auto body repairs including welding, dent removal, and minor structural fixes Assist with auto glass installation or replacement when necessary Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various prep and painting tasks Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards Perform vehicle maintenance tasks as required to support the painting process Skills Proven dealership or auto body shop experience preferred Strong knowledge of auto painting techniques including airless spray systems and buffing methods Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes Experience with welding, auto glass installation, and auto estimating is a plus Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting safely performed in an automotive environment Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good customer service skills are beneficial for interacting with clients or team members regarding vehicle status or repairs This role is vital for maintaining the high standards of our automotive services. We seek motivated professionals eager to contribute their skills in auto painting, prep work, and vehicle restoration.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour

What type of painting experience do you have? Are you comfortable working on large vehicles or truck bodies, including standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights as required? Have you painted or prepped large commercial vehicles, truck bodies, equipment, or similar heavy-duty components? Are you experienced in full surface preparation, including sanding, masking, priming, and final prep for paint on large vehicles or components?
