Job Title:
Powder Coat Painter - 2nd Shift Job Description This role sets up and operates painting and drying units along a conveyor line to apply powder coating to metal products. You will prepare, hang, paint, and package parts while maintaining consistent quality and following established methods and procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate painting and drying units along the conveyor line to coat metal products with paint powder. Apply paint powder to all parts that pass through the paint booth using established methods and procedures. Monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of the paint finish throughout the production process. Hang metal parts on the production line, including parts weighing up to 50 lbs. Remove finished parts from the line and package them securely according to standards. Perform general production and labor tasks to support continuous workflow in the paint area. Assist with paint preparation and basic equipment checks to ensure safe and efficient operation. Follow all safety guidelines and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe work area. Essential Skills At least 6 months of manufacturing experience. Experience with powder coat painting. Ability to perform general production and general labor tasks in a manufacturing setting. Capability to lift and handle parts up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Familiarity with paint preparation and paint application processes. Ability to work on a conveyor line and keep pace with production demands. Strong attention to detail to maintain paint quality and finish standards. Reliability in following established methods, procedures, and safety practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in painting, powder coating, or paint preparation in a production environment. Comfort working with heavy lifting and repetitive tasks. Interest in cross-training for other departments such as fabrication, welding, maintenance, assembly, or supervision. Willingness to work occasional overtime, including some Saturday half days. Strong work ethic and performance-driven mindset to take advantage of merit-based raises. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnson Creek, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
