Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter/ Stainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and finishes to a variety of products, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise in painting, surface preparation, and coating techniques will contribute to the production of durable, visually appealing finished goods. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision, safety, and craftsmanship are paramount. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting or staining by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools. Operate spray guns and brushing/wiping stains to apply coatings evenly and efficiently. Interpret production documents such as work orders, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of coatings. Handle materials safely using proper PPE such as respirators and protective clothing while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished surfaces for consistency with color standards and defect-free quality. Maintain equipment including paint spray guns, colorant machines, and perform routine cleaning and troubleshooting. Qualifications Proven experience in painting, staining application, or construction painting surface preparation.. Ability to interpret technical documents and use precision measuring instruments for quality control. Knowledge of mechanical systems, machining processes, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for surface prep and finishing tasks. Understanding of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, and handling hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA standards. $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
