Role Summary We're looking for someone who loves machines and wants to share that passion with others. As a Salesperson, you'll guide customers through our full line of sewing machines and vacuums, connect them with the right tools for their projects, and deliver an exceptional in-store experience. This is a stable, long-term role with room to grow, designed for someone who enjoys being part of a creative community. Key Responsibilities Build lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs, following up on opportunities, and helping them confidently choose the right sewing machine or vacuum for years of enjoyment. Learn our full lineup across seven machine brands and three vacuum brands, and guide customers to the right fit Assist with product questions and provide basic sewing-technique guidance Process transactions and financing through our POS and Synchrony systems Check in machines for repair and manage off-counter sales Maintain current knowledge across all brands and models Keep the sales floor organized, welcoming, and visually appealing Qualifications A genuine interest in learning machines — experience with sewing machines or techniques is preferred but not required Prior retail or POS experience is helpful Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and comfortably move throughout the day Flexible availability to support retail hours, including required Saturdays What We Offer Competitive hourly wage ($15-17/hr) plus commission and spiffs on machine and vacuum sales Employee discounts on machines, supplies, and classes Health insurance and paid time off, including holiday pay Ongoing training and education to grow your skills A welcoming, community-driven team environment Who Thrives Here The people who are most successful at Sierra Sewing are naturally curious.
