JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you have a passion for the outdoors and a strong desire to learn, and want a job with room for growth both professionally and personally? Then continue reading to find out if this is the right job for you! The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who is mechanically inclined with strong problem solving skills. This individual will excel in a fast paced environment working with customers, machines, and hand tools in a variety of applications to provide customers with efficient, quality, tunes and mounts. No experience is necessary to apply, so long as the applicant is enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate with customers regarding various ski and snowboard types, tunes, mounts, and repair work Develop an effective approach to suggesting appropriate ski and snowboard repairs and tunes based on customer needs. Gain required product knowledge to answer customer and/or equipment-related questions Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, secure and safe work environment Perform daily maintenance and cleaning duties Meet work deadlines Manage custom tunes and other special requests Assist retail floor when necessary Develop knowledge and competency using POS (point-of-sale) software
REQUIREMENTS
A strong passion for the outdoors (skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, hiking/trail running, climbing, etc.) Previous tune shop work experience preferred Ski and/or snowboard experience preferred Previous work with machining, carpentry, etc. preferred Reliable & responsible Ability to lift up to 40lbs periodically Effective written and verbal communication skills Able to provide outstanding customer service
