Job Description

Bennett's Commercial Refrigeration, Inc. has provided quality service to the convenience store, refrigerated warehouse, and supermarket communities in Arkansas since 1991. Our services have grown to include the installation of refrigeration equipment, computerized controls, as well as system and temperature monitoring in Arkansas and surrounding states. Bennett's Commercial Refrigeration, Inc. is looking for someone to lead the field installation, commissioning, and supervision of Energy Management Systems (EMS) across commercial supermarket sites. This specialized role focuses on low-voltage wiring, network configuration, and parameter programming for leading control systems integrated with commercial refrigeration racks, HVAC, and lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
System Installation & Commissioning:
Lead hands-on field installations, panel wiring and sensor placement.
Field Supervision:
Direct and train secondary technicians and subcontractors during system changeouts, panel builds, and facility retrofits to maintain quality and safety standards.
Network Troubleshooting:
Diagnose RS-485 communication loops, Modbus, BACnet, and IP network issues, as well as sensor, transducer, and output board failures.
Project Handover:
Conduct final walk-throughs, verify alarm points, document project changes, and provide system orientation to retail operations teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
4+ years of hands-on experience in EMS controls installation and troubleshooting within supermarket or large commercial refrigeration environments.
Platform Mastery:
Demonstrated expertise with Novar, CPC/Emerson, and Danfoss platforms (Micro Thermo or Carel experience is a plus).
Technical Skills:
Advanced schematic reading, low-voltage wiring, relay logic, and understanding of network communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
Certifications:
Low-voltage or electrical license is a strong plus.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean record; willingness to travel within the regional territory as required.
