Job Description
About the Role As an Industrial Controls Technician, you will serve as a critical technical resource responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of complex automated production environments. You will leverage your expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and electrical diagnostics to optimize machine uptime and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing systems. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults in PLC-controlled automation, vision systems, and robotic cells to maximize throughput. Execute proactive preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifecycle and prevent unplanned production interruptions. Partner with cross-functional production teams to identify equipment bottlenecks and implement rapid, effective technical solutions. Maintain precise digital logs of all maintenance activities and system modifications to ensure regulatory compliance and historical data accuracy. Install and calibrate industrial electrical components, including conduit systems, motors, and high-voltage distribution hardware. Ensure all technical interventions strictly adhere to safety standards and industrial best practices to foster a secure work environment. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience troubleshooting industrial automation equipment, including PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Hands-on experience with 3-phase power systems and industrial voltage diagnostics (up to 480V). Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical assembly and component repairs on heavy machinery. Solid understanding of pneumatic systems and industrial sensor integration. Preferred Skills Advanced proficiency in programming and debugging industrial robotic arms and machine vision systems. Experience with PCB component-level diagnostics and repair. Advanced conduit bending skills (RMT/IMC) and industrial electrical installation experience. Technical certification or specialized training in industrial electronics or mechatronics.
