Job Description

About the role: The Industrial Controls Technician assists with design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems, including involvement with implementation of capital projects of all sizes.

What you'll do: Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair PLCs, HMIs, and control systems on a variety of equipment. Design machine interfaces and data historian displays for use by multiple departments. Design and build industrial control panels for control upgrades, or for new equipment and processes Edit and change PLC programs, machine parameters, etc. as needed for machine optimization and troubleshooting. Adhere to all Diamond Vogel safety and compliance programs, including LOTO procedures. Recommend controls upgrades and changes to increase machine efficiency. Assist with the design and implementation of capital projects What skills and experience you'll need: Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred 3 to 5+ years of experience with industrial controls systems Working knowledge of industrial control software, such as ControlLogix, Studio 5000, etc Organized, analytical and attention to detail, with strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills Eagerness to learn new systems and develop new skillsets We offer competitive wages and a complete benefits package, including health, dental, and vision; 401k with employer match; life & disability insurance; HSA (health savings account); PTO (paid time off ); and more.
