What You'll Do Service & Advanced Troubleshooting Diagnose and repair complex commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and controls Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems Perform equipment startups, system testing, and commissioning support Retrofit & Small Projects Lead equipment change-outs, system upgrades, and retrofit projects Manage field work from demo → installation → startup → turnover Perform tenant improvement (TI) HVAC work and duct modifications Read drawings, review project scope, and coordinate with project managers and field teams Identify change orders and additional field-driven opportunities Complete material takeoffs, coordinate equipment and materials, and manage labor hours Lead in the Field Lead small crews of 1-6 team members Mentor technicians and field team members Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and quality Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to Addison Smith standards Customer & Business Impact Serve as a trusted field contact and partner for our customers Identify repair, upgrade, and retrofit opportunities Support our service and project teams in driving continued growth Recognize additional facility needs and potential project opportunities that can provide value to our customers Help build long-term customer relationships by becoming a trusted partner in supporting their facilities What You Bring 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience Strong background in both service and retrofit/construction Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and other construction documents Experience leading jobs or small crews within the mechanical trades Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems Certifications EPA Universal Certification - Required Valid driver's license with clean

preferred BAS/controls experience is a plus Tools & Technology Experience with or willingness to work with: Field service software and mobile work-order systems Procore for project coordination, drawings, and daily logs BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, and Honeywell Manufacturer diagnostic tools from Trane, Carrier, Daikin, and others Why Addison Smith?
