In this position you would have the opportunity to:

• Perform radiological surveys of work, work areas, and facilities for quantitative radiological assessments
• Respond to radiological casualties as necessary
• Perform oversight of radiological work to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and work standards
• Provide oversight for evolutions such as movement of nuclear fuel and assembly/disassembly of nuclear fuel test trains
• Provide oversight of remediation of highly contaminated components and hot cell/water pool evolutions
• Perform radiological surveys to support the shipment/receipt of nuclear fuel and/or waste Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill High School Diploma (or equivalent) 2 years of college training, OR vocational school (Radiological Technician programs), OR a Naval Nuclear Operator Ability to qualify as an Article 108 Radiological Controls Technician Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance Ability to work shift work if required Preferred Skills Previous Article 108 qualification.
