Job Description

Part-Time Flooring Measure Technician Join Our Team! We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Flooring Measure Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll visit customers' homes to accurately measure rooms for new flooring installations and help ensure every project gets off to a great start. No experience is required—we're willing to train the right person! Experience in flooring, construction, carpentry, or home improvement is a plus, but not necessary. Responsibilities Travel to customers' homes to measure rooms for flooring projects and create a drawing Record accurate measurements and note site conditions and specifics (trims necessary, subfloor type and condition, excessive furniture, etc.) to create an annotated drawing of the rooms being installed Take photos and document any installation considerations Your drawing, notes, and pictures are used by the sales team to adjust the price of the job based on square-footage and additional services requires for the job. Communicate with sales team and management to ensure project accuracy Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and measuring equipment Communicate professionally and courteously with customers Call customers when on the way Take flooring samples to customers' homes for their final selections of style/color. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a good driving record Reliable and punctual Strong attention to detail Comfortable using a tape measure and basic technology (tablet or smartphone) Good communication and basic customer service skills Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and navigate stairs and job sites (flooring samples) What We Offer Flexible part-time schedule within 9am-5pm hours Competitive hourly pay based on experience Paid training Opportunity to learn the flooring industry Use of company car Health insurance available after 90 days If you enjoy meeting people and working both independently and as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you!
