Shift Position Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting installation and maintenance of a broad range of electrical systems and equipment in the plant including

PLC, HMI

systems and robotic equipment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement modifications to electrical systems of current machines or new equipment to improve the safety and manufacturing process
• Support the storage of new electrical prints and programmable processor programs
• Support the development and maintenance of systems for generating and updating electrical prints
• Monitor and troubleshoot system problems as required
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Quality departments on machine controls & concepts
• Provide Controls support to plant maintenance on preventative maintenance and repairs of physical plant systems
• Comply with all Company policies and State Code Regulations
• As needed program PLC, HMI, robots and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment.
• Lead in the trouble shooting of malfunctioning equipment.
• Support activities such as cycle time reduction, standardization of existing equipment and incorporation of error proofing strategies.
• Support automation efforts throughout plant

Qualifications:

• Associates of Science degree in Controls Engineering or related field preferred
• 3- 5 years of experience working with controls preferred
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motion controls preferred
• Thorough knowledge of PC's, PLC's & CNC controls preferred
• Experience on CAD system preferred
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills preferred
• Excellent planning & organizational skills preferred

$34.81 - $41.72 per hour
