Job Description

Shift Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting installation and maintenance of a broad range of electrical systems and equipment in the plant includingPLC, HMI
systems and robotic equipment.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement modifications to electrical systems of current machines or new equipment to improve the safety and manufacturing process
- Support the storage of new electrical prints and programmable processor programs
- Support the development and maintenance of systems for generating and updating electrical prints
- Monitor and troubleshoot system problems as required
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Quality departments on machine controls & concepts
- Provide Controls support to plant maintenance on preventative maintenance and repairs of physical plant systems
- Comply with all Company policies and State Code Regulations
- As needed program PLC, HMI, robots and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment.
- Lead in the trouble shooting of malfunctioning equipment.
- Support activities such as cycle time reduction, standardization of existing equipment and incorporation of error proofing strategies.
- Support automation efforts throughout plant
Qualifications:
- Associates of Science degree in Controls Engineering or related field preferred
- 3- 5 years of experience working with controls preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motion controls preferred
- Thorough knowledge of PC's, PLC's & CNC controls preferred
- Experience on CAD system preferred
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills preferred
- Excellent planning & organizational skills preferred
