About the Role As an Automation Controls Technician, you will serve as a vital technical expert responsible for the upkeep and optimization of high-speed manufacturing systems. You will utilize your expertise in PLC programming and mechanical systems to maximize equipment uptime, ensuring our production lines operate at peak efficiency to meet critical output goals. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical, and PLC/HMI control systems to restore production stability. Conduct root cause analysis on automated equipment to implement permanent corrective actions that enhance overall system reliability. Execute the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new manufacturing technologies while maintaining rigorous technical documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize machine performance. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to strict safety protocols, including LOTO and

NFPA 70E

standards. Support the long-term health of production assets through proactive maintenance and system upgrades. Qualifications Required Skills Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. 6+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment. Proficiency in PLC/HMI platforms, robotics, vision systems, and motion control. Strong ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Preferred Skills Experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements. Background working within FDA-regulated or highly compliant manufacturing environments. Relevant professional certifications such as ISA CCST or CAP.
