Job Description

Buckeye Fire Equipment company is currently searching for candidates who are looking to advance their career with an innovation-driven company as an Automation Controls Technician. The Automation Controls Technician is responsible for building control panels, A-B PLC and HMI programming, and maintaining automated machines and equipment using their technical skills and knowledge.
Essential Functions:
Build custom panels designed for and by Buckeye for production use. Program and maintain automated machines utilizing equipment such as programmable controllers, HMI's, servos, and VFD's. Perform machine and control panel wiring. Diagnose, replace, and repair faulty mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components of machines and equipment throughout the plant.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with a high level of programming knowledge and experience. This position provides several immediate career path level options, based on experience, and has a strong potential to grow and develop into a leadership role within the team. In addition, the ideal candidate has: A two-year technical degree; prefer four-year degree in related field, or relevant work experience may substitute for degree. Excellent communication and project management skills. Strong leadership skills. Possess critical thinking skills. Possess strong organizational skills. Possess strong time management skills. The ability to multitask. Ability to work in a fast-passed environment.
