Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Valve Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial valves used in power generation, manufacturing, oil & gas, chemical processing, and other critical industries. This position combines both shop and field service work, making it ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to travel.
Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
Valve Installation, Inspection & Repair Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial valves, including: Control valves Safety relief valves Gate valves Globe valves Ball valves Check valves Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble valve components. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective repairs to restore equipment reliability. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime. Testing & Calibration Test, calibrate, and verify valve performance to customer specifications and industry standards. Utilize precision measuring tools and test equipment to evaluate valve condition and functionality. Document test results and recommend repairs or replacement when necessary. Customer & Team Support Work closely with supervisors, engineers, project managers, and fellow technicians to complete projects safely and efficiently. Provide technical support and communicate repair recommendations to customers when appropriate. Support both shop and field service operations as needed. Safety & Quality Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and customer safety procedures. Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment. Ensure all work meets applicable industry standards and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
Required High school diploma or GED 2+ years of mechanical or industrial maintenance experience preferred Experience repairing or maintaining industrial valves, pumps, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and within a team environment Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Preferred Valve repair experience Control valve or safety relief valve experience Technical training or certification in valve repair or industrial maintenance Familiarity with ASME, API, or National Board standards Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces as required Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
