About the Company Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing Building Automation and Controls specialist operating across New York, New Jersey & Pennyslvania. With a strong reputation in the market and the backing of a larger global group, the business delivers advanced Building Management Systems (BMS), automation, and systems integration solutions across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced and motivated Controls Engineer to their team. Key Responsibilities Complete service calls and preventative maintenance on Building Management Systems while maintaining strong client relationships. Troubleshoot system issues, installations, and deficiencies. Communicate directly with customers to assess service requirements, coordinate scheduling, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Monitor building systems and identify opportunities to improve performance. Identify opportunities for system upgrades and additional building enhancements. Carry out building surveys and support the operations team with estimating additional work. Perform software programming, system start-up, tuning, calibration, and commissioning of BAS/BMS systems. Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Work closely with Service and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience A minimum of 3 years' experience within the HVAC Controls, BAS, or BMS industry. Experience with major building automation platforms, with Honeywell or Johnson Controls experience preferred. Niagara experience would be advantageous. Knowledge of LON and/or BACnet communication protocols. Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
